Hideki Kamiya, Platinum Games game designer and director, has revealed in a recent interview that he would love to make a Dante (from Devil May Cry) and Bayonetta crossover title. Here’s what was said in the interview with Dengeki PlayStation:
“I want to work on a Devil May Cry and Viewtiful Joe remake, or a true sequel for Okami. A cooperation with Dante (from Devil May Cry) and Bayonetta might also be fun. Dear Capcom, if it’s okay with someone like me, I will help anytime. Best regards. Everyone, bow down your heads with me!”

That’s… Actually not a bad idea. Bayonetta has already crossed over with Capcom characters before, and I think they’re similar. I wonder if Dante would find her attractive.

It would be interesting to see them start off as enemies (Dante mistaking the Umbra Witch for a demon, for example) only to end up working together to bring down a common foe by the end of the story. It could happen.
Viewtiful Joe and Bayonetta 3 as Switch exclusives please..! Then put both of them in the next Smash Bros. and I’ll be content.

With our luck, though, Capcom would force him to use the remake DmC Dante for this crossover. :/ Bleh!
Anyway, I’d love a crossover with Bayonetta & the ORIGINAL Dante! (I’d buy the Devil May Cry games if they had all of them available on PS4 but they only have that remake & the 4th DMC game on there. I’d prefer to play the first game then work my way up to the 4th one. Screw the remake, though.)
