Digital Foundry Compares New Secret Of Mana Remake With SNES Original

The technology enthusiasts over at Digital Foundry have a new project on their hands and it’s the recently released Secret of Mana remake for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC. The team have compared the remake against the original on the Super Nintendo which launched back in 1993 courtesy of Square. Have a watch of the video below to see how it compares.

  1. I’m disappointed at the visuals for this game. The old one had such great sprites that really were part of the charm, they should never have replaced those for 3d models, it just looks ugly now

  2. I think I’ll be sticking with the original on this one. Would’ve much preferred overhauled and more detailed spritework than 3D models. A shame really, I was hoping this would turn out alright.

  3. The original looks much better, and I have a PVM now so playing a SNES game on something other than the original cart via RGB feels like a waste, but at the same time, I want to encourage this sort of behavior. hmmm….
