Octopath Traveler is drawing ever closer to release on the Nintendo Switch and it has now been rated by the Australian Ratings Board. The highly anticipated game received an M rating by the board which stands for Mature. So expect some violence and some possible bad language and sexual references.
Australia: Octopath Traveler Gets M Rating

Wow really?
Yeah, check out the demo’s dancer storyline. The themes & stories of this game are pretty dark.
The M rating is different in Australia.
“Mature (M) Films and computer games classified M (Mature) contain content of a moderate impact and are recommended for teenagers aged 15 years and over. Children under 15 may legally access this material because it is an advisory category.”
The rating board in Australia is ridiculously strict. Left 4 Dead 2 almost never released there because of it. Their idea of mature content is much broader than ours in the States and Europe, Octopath getting an M there is nothing to be alarmed about.
