Nintendo Investigating Conduct Of Nintendo Russia Boss Yasha Haddaji

Nintendo has said it is currently investigating Nintendo Russia’s General Manager, Yasha Haddaji. We have published a couple of articles about his behaviour and some of his actions. Speaking to Eurogamer, Nintendo have the given the following statement:

“We are aware of a video uploaded to YouTube recently in which Nintendo Russia’s General Manager, Yasha Haddaji, is seen losing his temper during an altercation with an external vendor in charge of a Mario Kart livestream. Mr Haddaji’s conduct and choice of words are most certainly not in line with our company values.”

Since the video was published, others claiming knowledge of Haddaji’s conduct at Nintendo have also stepped in. Nintendo has said it is investigating these other reports, too.

“We are also aware of further allegations that have appeared in the wake of this video and are now running a thorough investigation. We take these matters extremely seriously and will not comment further while we are running our investigation.”

  1. Gotta say, I’m actually kind of happy it’s an investigation rather than an immediate firing. The guy is screwed but it’s nice to see “innocent until proven guilty” being upheld by a company when this kind of social media shitstorm hits.

    Kudos Nintendo.

      1. There’s other allegations that have to be proven though. Don’t get me wrong, I think he’s guilty as shit but this is how things should be done.

      2. I do agree it good to see Nintendo is investigating, but it would be one thing if it was just allegations, but we do have footage here. Are they investigating the degree of how hard they’re going to fire him?(I know, I know. He’s under a timed contract and they’re building evidences to make their case stronger against him). Hopefully because they’re considering suing him for broken image or something. I really don’t hope they say this just to make it look like they’re doing something, and just hope everyone forgets this so they don’t have to do anything.

  2. Least they are actually investigating & aren’t outright firing him. Can’t say the same for Chipotle when one of their managers was accused of racism and was fired without a thorough investigation in spite of evidence from other people showing the accuser was just a lying little shitstain that dined and dashed at other places so when he couldn’t do it there, he cried racism. Shame on him for pissing all over actual victims of racism which is exactly what he did. Falsely accusing someone of an act not only potentially ruins the life of the falsely accused but it makes it harder for real victims to be believed. *eye twitch*

  3. Release the Nintendo Ninjas!!

Pretty happy they’re taking this approach. Those employees and partners’ concerns are being looked into as well and I appreciate Nintendo investigating further.
