The UK has proved to be a troublesome market for Nintendo as consumers generally opt for PlayStation or Xbox consoles. However, there has been good news for Nintendo UK as Games Industry reports that Nintendo dominated the United Kingdom during the all-important month of December. The site reports that 30 per cent of all games sold in December were on Nintendo platforms. While it was the PlayStation 4 which came out on top, the Nintendo Switch was very narrowly behind which bodes very well for this year.
30 per cent of all games sold in December were on Nintendo platforms (29.5 per cent on Nintendo Switch alone). It made the console the No.2 most popular platform behind PS4, which accounted for 39.7 per cent of all games sold last month.

The fact that there’s about 15 of the top 20 games available on PS4 and only about half for the switch is a good reason why.
This needs to change.
More games.
I assume these numbers don’t count digital sales. I’m curious how Sony and Nintendo would compare if those were added.
