The Nintendo Switch Firmware Has Been Updated To Version 7.0.1

Nintendo has released a brand new update for the Nintendo Switch‘s firmware. This brings the firmware to version 7.0.1. However, do not expect to receive anything major from this update. The only thing Nintendo fixed was an issue related to reconnecting Pokemon Let’s Go to the Pokemon GO app. The official patch notes can be seen down below.

General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience, including:

  • Resolved an issue where the Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! games cannot reconnect to the Pokémon GO app if the game software was closed after pairing with the app.

    1. I hear ya!

I’m so sick of scrolling through titles of every last Switch software I ever booted up or downloaded.

If this system had folders (like the 3DS), I’d put my cartridge games in one folder, and my digital games in another folder. I would also separate my games between titles I’m currently playing, titles I’m saving for later, titles I 100%-ed, demo games, and apps like YouTube and Hulu.

But Nintendo won’t let me do that…..

  1. It’s nice of them to resolve that, I guess. I thought they updated the firmware as an answer to Elmirorac’s hacking which only took 4 hours after the release of the 7.0.0 firmware update last late January.

  2. The Switch is 2 years old and had like the most boring updates ever.

None is even for stability but more to counter piracy Aka Nintendo focus is on 2% of the consumers instead of the other 98 wo actually want something new like themes.

Nintendo Japan is OLD and BORING, time to kick out these old ones so they can garden and play guitar all day and let people who ACTUALLY enjoy gaming and fantasying about possibilities
