If you don’t know who Nick Chavez is, then you’re about to. Prior to the retirement of Reggie Fils-Aime, Chavez was Nintendo of America‘s marketing head. His role was largely in the background. In the past few years, he did a very small handful of public interviews. One of those interviews was with TIME, one month before the Switch launched. With Doug Bowser now Nintendo of America’s President, the role of Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing was vacant. Well, thanks to some recent Nintendo press releases and Chavez’s Twitter, it has been confirmed that Chavez now has Doug Bowser’s old position. As you can see down below, Chavez tweeted about his promotion.
Week 1 in my new role, trying very hard to concentrate…. Thank you, @thetruebowser! pic.twitter.com/sdpimUynnD

What, they couldn’t find someone named Kamek?
. . .good point.
I’m somewhat worried that the treehouse may start censoring games again.

the old guy in charge of marketing is now called Switch U
Only working at NoA for a few years & already Doug Bowser is CEO of the damn thing. I guess being a higher up at EA for so many years came with some nice little benefits of a shitload of experience.
Good-bye, Fils-Aimé!!
ALL HAIL BOWSER!!! lol
Anyway, love the Bowser cut-out on the wall. I think it says “WELCOME BACK… I’LL BE WATCHING YOU!” lol
Oh & glad to see our new CEO of NoA has a sense of humor!
That’s what I saw too.
