Video: Final Fantasy VIII Remastered release date reveal trailer

The game was announced at Square Enix’s E3 2019 conference, and now it has a release date. Final Fantasy VIII Remastered will be releasing on the Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Steam on September 3rd, 2019. The release date was announced in a brand new trailer that was uploaded to the Final Fantasy YouTube channel. You can see the trailer down below.

        1. Yea its just a way to justify raising the price a bit usually. If it was not “remastered” they would have to sell it cheaper. Once you put that “remaster” sticker you can charge a bit higher or make it seem like there’s new features etc. just marketing. Fairly common practice among lots of developers and it will keep on happening with the newer consoles.

      1. Square lost the original source code to FFVIII so it’s more of a remake than you might think.
        Reverse engineering and remake. That’s also why the character models look terrible.
