Nintendo has warned that they have noticed a number of of unauthorised log-ins of Nintendo Accounts recently and say that users need to use 2-factor authentication to keep their accounts and credit/debit card details from being accessed by unauthorised users. You can set up 2-step authentication on your Nintendo Account here with this detailed guide from Nintendo support.
I agree I recieved an unautjorized access from a Google Browser in Russia and I changed it quickly. The funny thing is that my password i use is only used on a few sites and thats it.
So I wonder which company spilled my info to hackers?
The same thing happened to me: I got a warning email from Nintendo claiming that a suspicious login to my account was made from Russia. Change your password and enable step 2 guys, I think that some Russian hacker may have obtained private information like a user info database from from Nintendo’s servers or maybe they found an exploit to gain access to accounts without the password.
In other words Nintendo got hacked and aren’t telling anyone they’ve been hacked, but are instead telling everyone to use the 2 step authentication method.
Nintendo’s quality has been declining fast lately.
