Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch’s firmware has been updated to version 10.0.2

Another Nintendo Switch firmware update has been released, bringing the firmware to version 10.0.2. Just like the last update, this one doesn’t do a whole lot. And just like the last update, the main focus was for “General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience”. However, Nintendo also noted that “we have fixed an issue where a Nintendo Switch console with system menu version 10.0.0 or 10.0.1 does not set up a new Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, sometimes causing incorrect joystick control”.

  1. That would explain why my new pro controller sometimes would stop responding after a frame while playing Trials of Mana. I thought I had a bad controller, turns out I didn’t.

    1. Speaking of Trails of Mana how do you unlock the characters moves? I only have 2 standard unlocked.

You know when you hold “R” and press “X” during battle? But you notice there are others options to press but they are empty.

      1. You unlock them by going in to the training menu and spending your points to upgrade. Certain characters or options give you more moves than others and you also unlock more by going further in the story

  2. Seriously hope someone can help me here. But why does my pro controller not turn on the switch ? It can easily switch the system off but not the other way around. I’ve tried multiple times to reinstall controllers. You name it

    1. I don’t know about powering up the system with the controller but all I know is that you press and hold the home button for a few seconds until it wakes up the system.

  3. At last. What took them so long?
Now, THIS is the update those people whose Pro controller has been through the drift issue need to get.
And for those of you who were wondering, Yes, stick drift can be caused by software.

And as the saying goes, better late than never.
