Square Enix has reportedly ditched their initial idea of hosting an online presentation in June to replace the yearly E3 expo that usually takes place in Los Angeles. According to Takashi Mochizuki – a tech reporter at Bloomberg – Square Enix will instead announce games individually. This is thought to be due to the company running into issues surrounding assets for the presentation.
Square Enix reportedly no longer hosting online event in June, individual announcements expected

Isn’t nintendo also doing the same this year also, I mean we did see content updates with ACNH,SMM2 updates, a direct is most likely not happening, but I wouldn’t mind seeing updates or dlc on certain first party games, or even little teases.
There goes my hope in Bravely Default II
That makes no sense. Theyre not doing the event, the announcements will still happen.
