  1. What exactly is Nintendo’s plan? Is it their belief that Animal Crossing is going to continue bring up high Switch sells? Get real Nintendo the only reason why the Switch is selling is because people are waiting for the PS5 and Series X.

This is the same stupid reason Wii U failed. When Project Cafe was in R&D for some stupid reason they only focused on making it more powerful than the PS3 and 360 as if Sony and Microsoft wasnt going to come out with next generation consoles in their R&D. Why would you come out with a slightly more powerful console than what’s already out in the market?

When NX was in R&D they should had already known some day PS5 and next XBox would debut. When a future Nintendo console is in R&D they act like Sony and Microsoft doesnt already have future consoles in their R&D already.

Let me guess the next generation Switch will be barely more powerful than the PS4. 5 years later PS6 and next Xbox and then next generation Nintendo will barely be more powerful than PS4 Pro. 5 years later PS7 and next Generation Xbox. Then nintendo will make a console barely more powerful than PS5 then 5 years later PS8 and next generation Xbox. Then nintendo will make a console barely more powerful than PS5 Pro. Then here comes PS9 and next generation Xbox.

So how long is Nintendo really think they can play this stubborn role in making a console barely more powerful than what’s been out in the market 5 years?

    1. If it will be just barely more powerful no one would get it. I think that the next generation will definitely be more powerful, with a SoC built on a recent process like 5 nm, but since it will be hybrid it will not be able to quintuplicate the performance of the previous console. Maybe it will be two or three times more powerful, with latest technology added in (like A77 CPU cores). They just have to wait the proper time to launch it, like Sony and Microsoft did, not rushing a limping product because the old gets eated by the competition.
They should really concentrate on expanding internal studios because after the initial rush of games (first two years after the launch of the console) software really slow down as always, and we can’t just buy two copies of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I don’t buy Nintendo games from like six months (I’m not interested in Animal Crossing, I’m waiting big releases like Mario Odissey or Zelda BOTW), they should release great games with a steady frequency, so just open new Studios… that we want to play new games. That’s how you challenge the coming of the next generation console of the competition. Nintendo Switch is a great hardware, but good games have been all already released and future looks empty from a customer standpoint. I don’t care for indies, I buy few of them, I would like to see the release of big games with a monthly frequency, then the Switch 2 can come even in 2022, or 2023.
