Ubisoft Montpellier has published a new post on Facebook today which is presumably showing off something Rayman related, which will come as good news to the fans. The company does state that it is not a new game, so that means it could either be a remaster or a Rayman animation, though it is not clear which. Hopefully all will be revealed soon by the team at Ubisoft.

I was so bummed when the Wii U version got delayed. Waited til Switch version. That last level is one of the trippiest levels in a game. Very fun.
I guess this was done to reassure fans after Michael Ancel retired.
If they have to remaster something, I would really like it to be Rayman 2: The Great Escape. It’s the best game in the series IMO. But it probably is going to be Origins or something.
When you consider Rayman 2 is one of the most ported/rereleased games ever and it’s not on modern consoles yet (or at least not on the Switch), yet another port of it or even a remaster seems like a possibility.
Rayman related huh? I been asking for a sequel to Rayman Legends for years. But we know devlopers are lazy and never make games immediately after getting the first game done so….
Unless you’re a game developer yourself I don’t think you have any right to universally call them lazy. Big games, especially ones from well established franchises by major studios take a long time to make. If you want to be annoyed with anyone, throw shade at the company heads drawing the red tape or not providing funding for sequels, not the actual developers.
Yeah! Developers aren’t like game making robots. Maybe they don’t have good ideas for sequels right away and wanna wait for that creative spark before they start

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the article on My Nintendo News about Ubisoft Montpellier’s Facebook page teasing something Rayman-related. Rayman holds a special place in my heart as one of the most iconic video game characters of all time, and it’s always exciting to see new developments in the Rayman franchise. Ubisoft Montpellier has a history of creating high-quality games, so I have no doubt that whatever they have in store for us will be truly amazing.
