New Sonic 3D animated series coming to Netflix in 2022

Netflix accidentally let the cat out of the bag today on Twitter as they confirmed in a now deleted tweet that they have been working on a Sonic the Hedgehog 3D animated series. It’s a joint effort from SEGA and theย creators of Ben 10 and Mega Man Fully Charged. Sadly we will have to wait a while to see the fruits of their labour as it won’t premiere until 2022, but hopefully it will be something special.

    1. Yeah the humor in boom was top notch especially in season 2, hopefully the characters are all written the way their suppose to orginally be instead of all over the place when compared to their modern counterparts, also would it kill them to make cream relevant again.

      1. Indeed. I particularly enjoyed all the self-deprecating humor that pokes fun at the Sonic series itself, like the episode when Sonic is held hostage by an obsessed fan and forced to read fanfics.

“I w-wasn’t sneaking out! I was just… looking at more of your fanfics! *picks one up* Ooooh, SonAmy, spicyyy.”

“Yeah, that’s not really my favorite kind, but it’s pretty much a subseries of the genre.”

      2. Why, so she can make bad millennial references like the rest of the cast in that show.

As much as I want characters to be better utilized, I don’t want them to be degraded into something their not.

        -A smug idiot.
-A snarker who barely tolerates Sonic as a friend
        -A meathead
-A Sally-wannabee who thinks she’s too good for Sonic.
-A crackpot conspiracy nut (even though she has no modern incarnation).

When so many people say nothing but nice things about the show, it makes me wonder why anyone hates Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, Teen Titans Go, or the reboots of PPG and Ben 10.

        1. Bro you wrote that long paragraph and didn’t even read what I said “hopefully the characters are all written the way their suppose to orginally be instead of all over the place when compared to their modern counterparts” I don’t won’t them to be degraded either but the humor in boom was alot funnier compared to past sonic shows, their are barely even millennial references in the show and it doesn’t rely on toilet and gross out humor like the shows you mention and tried to compare it too, you defintely did not watch sonic boom and you also got amy characterization wrong too, she still acts like her character and she’s not as obsessive as she was in sonic x.

          1. As far as Amy goes, I just want her Adventure incarnation to return. It’s the perfect balance. She’s not an entitled bitch like in Sonic X and recent games since, and she’s not Sally (someone who nags and scolds Sonic whenever different writers portray him as a foolish idiot).

    2. ๐‘ต๐’Š๐’๐’•๐’†๐’๐’…๐’ ๐‘ญ๐’Š๐’“๐’”๐’• ๐‘ถ๐’“๐’…๐’†๐’“ ๐‘น๐’†๐’‚๐’—๐’†๐’“

      I prefer Sonic X style.

  1. Here’s hoping it’s at least decent and SEGA are willing to use more than just Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Eggman, and Shadow. I want to see more of the secondary crowd, like Rouge, the Chaotix, Silver, and Blaze, the latter two of which haven’t yet been in a Sonic toon. Hell, maybe we’ll see Mighty and Ray return thanks to their presence in Sonic Mania.
