Katsuhiro Harada, the producer behind the much loved fighting franchise Tekken, has revealed that he is currently working on the most expensive project in the history of Bandai Namco. Of course, Mr. Harada wouldn’t disclose what it is he’s working on, but it certainly sounds exciting. Hopefully will see the fruits of his labour later this year. Here’s what he said during the Piro Live! New Year’s Eve Special 2021 live stream.
“Well, honestly I think this might be the most costly development project in Bandai Namco history,” Harada said. “I think its incredible that the higher-ups approved of this. Well, the approval has passed, its just that due to the coronavirus, we haven’t really been able to properly start the project. I’m developing things other than fighting games. I don’t think I’ll ever do any other fighting game other than Tekken. But I won’t say what this project is at this point.”
If its the companies most expensive project then i very much doubt its a singular video game. Probably a large scale multimedia project.
