Nintendo Switch Switch Lite

Video: Annie Murphy stars in ‘The *Perfect* Rainy Day with Nintendo Switch’ ad

Nintendo has once again called upon a well-known actress to promote its popular hybrid console with Annie Murphy being the latest celebrity to star in an advert for the system. Annie Murphy is best known for her role as Alexis Rose in Schitt’s Creek and the latest ad from Nintendo shows Murphy enjoying some games of Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics and Ring Fit Adventure. The focus is on playing online which at the present time many of us are doing to pass the time during the pandemic. It was only in November last year where Brie Larson was cast to appear in numerious Nintendo advertisements for the Switch, but we imagine this year will see even more high profile public figures used to promote the console to keep the momentum up while the next-gen consoles find their footing and compete for buyer’s attention.

  1. You’re really stretching the meaning of “well-known”. I haven’t even heard of Schitt’s Creek. In other words she’s not well known at all. She’s exclusively known by people who watched Schitt’s Creek and noone else.

      1. You know, theres a huge difference in being Captain Marvel and being some TV star. I only know Schitts Creek from my american homie who’s into it, but noone else I know would recognize her.
I can imagine this show’s pretty popular where you’re able to watch it, but in most countries thats not really the case right now.
