Nintendo of America appears to be in the process of closing down its long-running support forums. The news was discovered via Reddit where a fan posted the following email they had received from the company. Nintendo of America says that they will use other support options for consumers who are having technical issues with Nintendo products. Users in North America can use the following options to get support; phone, chat, text message, or creating a help ticket.
“After more than a decade of hosting a fun, safe community where passionate Nintendo fans and new players alike can support each other with answers to technical questions about Nintendo’s products and services, we have decided to close the Nintendo Support Forums. Going forward, we will focus on the many other Nintendo support options that have greatly expanded over the last decade.”
“We have made the decision to close our customer support forums since there are many other ways to easily contact Nintendo. Any consumers who need support are encouraged to visit support.nintendo.com/contactus to find the best contact option for their specific situation. Options include support by phone, chat, text message, or by creating a help ticket.
That just leaves their less-than-helpful phone service.
Why give people less options for troubleshooting hardware/shipping/digital transaction issues?
I be honest with you, your better off actually using other forums than nintendo offical forums, I had more problems solve going through unoffical forums compared to nintendo’s, as for the phone service before the pandemic I never had an issue with them, they always seem to solve the issue I had and were really nice and patient with me, nowadays I’m hit straight with a voicemessage whenever I try to call now, and last time I called it was last month.
I have no idea what that is.
Why though? I can look up my issues on these forums without asking these questions myself. Stuff like text messages aren’t the most public.
I didn’t even know this existed. I thought they had closed all forums years ago. Pretty sure they did in Europe.

This is sad because now Nintendo is even LESS with their community.
There goes the only competent source of help. Now we have to deal with the braindead copy-pasting morons from the customer service.
