New Pokémon Snap has been updated to version 2.0.0

Things have been quiet for New Pokemon Snap lately. The game has been available on the Nintendo Switch for a few months now, but there hasn’t been much post-launch support. A couple of updates in late-May fixed some bugs, but that was it. Well, it seems that The Pokemon Company has changed that.

A brand new update for New Pokemon Snap released overnight. Once you update the game, it should be at version 2.0.0. As for what the update did, it is more than just bug fixes this time. 3 new areas have been added that contain 20 new Pokemon, as well as the addition of new profile icons, stickers, and more. The full patch notes are down below.

  • 3 new areas have been added: Secret Side Path, Mightywide River, and Barren Badlands.
    • These new areas also contain 20 new Pokémon.
  • Additional research titles, profile icons, photo filters, stickers, and frames have been added.
  • Search options for Other Players’ Photos have changed.
  • Other issues have also been addressed to improve the game-play experience.

    1. Not sure if trying to be funny, being a troll, or doing a Captain Obvious impression, but you somehow failed at all three.

Kinda like how the anti-Avery, Hop, and Allister guy fails at life in general.

  1. I wish my shield version would get an update for Bea and Klara. Avery and Allister are horrible. I hate Hop. Chloe is better.
