The release date for Sonic Origins is fast approaching and naturally more information has been divulged about the collection and its contents. One of the special modes for Sonic Origins is the newly added Story Mode which lets you replay the first four sonic games as one seamless experience. There’s one big caveat to that and that’s because you can only play through this mode as Sonic rather than Tails or Knuckles. As online site Game Rant points out the story mode will feature all new animated openings and endings so “making special cutscenes for Tails and Knuckles’ much smaller routes might not seem like a worthwhile endeavour to Sega.” Sonic Origins launches on 23rd June on Nintendo Switch and other platforms.

I guess that makes sense
Well if I had any interest in buying this game before, it’s all but gone now: after a decade of getting mostly mainline games that only let you play a sonic, I’m a little burnt out and want some variety back in the formula.
I know this only pertains to story mode, but the never ending drive to exile sonics friends from playability has kind of gotten annoying to me
It’s worth checking out this game, for sure
