The latest UK charts were published a little later than usual this week, but there’s plenty of good games in the GfK UK Boxed Top Ten for the week ending 7th June, 2022. It continues to be a good year for Nintendo Switch software as Nintendo has three first party games in the top ten with Nintendo Switch Sports at No.2 Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at No.5 and Pokemon Legends: Arceus at No.6. Without further ado, here’s the latest UK boxed-software charts.
“Nintendo Switch Sports was up a place to No.2 after a 24% sales rise, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is back at No.3 after a 77% sales increase, and FIFA 22 is at No.4 due to a 79% jump. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe is back in the Top Five with a 27% sales uptick, while Pokémon Legends: Arceus is up two places to No.6 due to a 13% sales rise.”

Where’s kirby and the forgotten land? :(
Sadly Kirby slipped out of the top ten a few weeks back. Maybe it just wasn’t marketed enough :(
Not surprised seeing WWE2K22 remain within the top 10, my only complaint about 2k22 is MyFaction. Although they have added new card packs, they seem overpriced. Paying with virtual currency or micro transactions between 4 and 6k for one card pack is kinda lame, it’s like they made MyFaction almost impossible intentionally unless you have better quality cards and now they try forcing players into purchasing them. Otherwise certain matches in the towers are almost impossible on legend difficulty without better quality cards.
2k22 was fun at 1st, unfortunately MyFaction is pretty repetitive. Every match during Faction Wars is always 4v4 normal tag. They have no variety of match types with different stipulations. Like TLC, HIAC, Ladder etc every match is exactly the same for Faction Wars 4v4 normal tag. Wish they had a variety of match types even tornado tag or mixed tag would be better then always playing 4v4 normal tag every match.
