Netflix has announced a new animated Castlevania show following hot on the heels of the excellent Castlevania anime which made its debut in 2017 and spanned four seasons. The new show is titled Castlevania: Nocturne and looks set to deliver a great storyline and feature plenty of intense action sequences. This time the animation focusses on Richter Belmont, who will be joined by Maria Renard, and is set during the historic French Revolution. You can watch the trailer for the Castlevania: Nocturne down below.
Castlevania: Nocturne, a new Netflix animated series, is officially in production. The series is led by showrunner Kevin Kolde and Creator/Writer Clive Bradley and produced by Project 51 Productions with production services provided by Powerhouse Animation. Castlevania: Nocturne follows Richter, a descendant of the Belmont family, popularized in the iconic Symphony of Night and Blood of Rondo Castlevania games. The show will star Richter Belmont, a descendent of the original show’s Trevor Belmont and Sypha. He’ll be joined by Maria Renard, another character from the original games. It will be set during the events of the French Revolution
I saw the image, and thought, I MY GOD NEW CASTLEVANIA… Er Nah!
Ugh, like we really needed another one. The writer for the first one never even played a Castlevania game and turned that show into his own cringy fanfiction. Can’t wait to watch them do it again with this one lol.
“Blood of Rondo” lol
I was in the minority in hating the first one, so I have no hopes for this one, especially given the implication that they’re going to bring french revolution politics into the mix. Ah well, I’m sure lots of people will have fun.
I guess they’re just done making games, huh?
Here is my question. Will the seasons be short like the last series?
Since the writer of the previous show isn’t coming back I’ll give this a chance. I’m not holding my breath though, the first show was bad, and It shouldn’t be as popular as it is imo.
You know what would interest me more than this?
Netflix on the Switch.
