The latest Famitsu readers most wanted video games charts have come through and there’s no change at the top spot for the long-awaited Splatoon 3. The ink-tastic game recently overtook the Playstation 5 exclusive, Final Fantasy XVI, which held the top spot for a long time though since word of the summer 2023 delay, the JRPG’s has slipped to No.2. Square Enix’s latest JRPG remake, Live a Live, has climbed the Famitsu readers most wanted charts and there’s a playable demo available on the Nintendo Switch eShop right now. Here’s the top ten most wanted video games in Japan according to Famitsu readers:
- [NSW] Splatoon 3 – 525 votes
- [PS5] Final Fantasy XVI – 498 votes
- [NSW] Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – 456 votes
- [NSW] Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 – 403 votes
- [NSW] Dragon Quest X Offline – 398 votes
- [NSW] Live A Live – 392 votes
- [NSW] Bayonetta 3 – 387 votes
- [NSW] Pokemon Scarlet / Violet – 302 votes
- [NSW] Ushiro – 186 votes
- [PS4] Soul Hackers 2 – 164 votes
My most anticipated games are Soul Hackers, Digimon Survive and Star Ocean The Divine Force.
Star Ocean 5 was probably the worst I’ve played especially after playing Star Ocean The Last Hope International. Hopefully Star Ocean The Divine Force is a huge improvement and can revive the series or bring some life back into it.
Also anticipating Dragons Dogma 2, really hope they use the pawn system, can’t wait. Dragons Dogma is my absolute favorite open world free roam sandbox game. I use to be a Witcher like you until i took an arrow to the knee.
