Dataminers find music tracks for future DLC courses in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Mario kart 8 deluxe dlc

We have just received the latest batch of DLC tracks for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass, with Wave 2 which launched yesterday. Since then, dataminers have been hard at work digging into the new update files to find out what’s next for fans of the Mario Kart franchise. They have since discovered various music tracks for the next batch of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Pass Wave 3 courses, which don’t have a release date as of yet and haven’t been officially announced by Nintendo.

Small parts of the music of the following courses have been found in the game files:

  • London Loop
  • DS Peach Gardens
  • GBA Boo Lake / GBA Broken Pier
  • Rock Rock Mountain
  • Berlin Byways
  • GCN Waluigi Stadium
  • Merry Mountain
  • 3DS Rainbow Road
  • Amsterdam Drift
  • Singapore Speedway
  • GBA Sunset Wilds
  • Bangkok Rush
  • Vancouver Velocity
  • Wii Maple Treeway

Combine this information (the order of the songs) with the previous prefix leak, that means that the next wave will very likely be:

  1. London Loop
  2. DS Peach Gardens
  3. GBA Boo Lake / Broken Pier
  4. 3DS Rock Rock Mountain

  1. Berlin Byways
  2. GCN Waluigi Stadium
  3. Merry Mountain
  4. 3DS Rainbow Road

    1. Yes thank you cause anti-grab would work well on it, I don’t care if 200cc makes it barely playable I want it so bad, still happy that peach garden and Singapore Speedway are still in the datamines though those two are also my favs

    1. You’re probably not going to get any one of those.

Aside from the fact that other datamined GBA courses kind of kills GBA Luigi Circuit’s hopes, Nintendo in their right mind wouldn’t even bother to add it in. We’ve already got GBA Mario Circuit! Another circuit course from this game would be incredibly redundant and a waste of a slot.

Wii Toad’s Factory may or may not happen, but I’m leaning on the side of no, given that we’re likely getting four more Wii courses, and three of those have already been datamined (Koopa Cape, Maple Treeway, and DK Summit). The fourth one is unknown, but given that the Spiny Cup ends with a Wii course, it’s highly likely that this is going to be Wii Rainbow Road.

GCN Mushroom City… apparently Mushroom Bridge was datamined. I’d be surprised if they added this in, given that we’ve already got Shroom Ridge from DS, and we’ve got plenty of city themed courses with vehicles already. I hope neither one of these comes to the game, to be honest, but if one of them does, I hope it’s Mushroom City.

  1. I could really do without so many Tour courses. They’re offputting and not what I come to Mario Kart for.

    1. I feel sort of the same way – it’s clear the Tour courses were designed with tilt controls in mind and the attention to detail is pretty lacking considering how great the stock tracks in MK8 look. But the reality is we likely wouldn’t be getting anything in place of the Tour tracks if they hadn’t decided to port them over. These tracks play a lot better in the MK8 engine than they did on mobile devices anyway, so I guess I’m just happy to have new content to keep an almost decade-old game feeling fresh

    2. Disagree with that one. Most people haven’t played Tour (it’s a pay-to-play game), so having the Tour courses have been the best part of the DLC content.

      1. Tour was definitely like that at launch but I haven’t payed a cent on that game and have obtain majority of the new and old skins I was pretty on and off with it also and still able to obtain the new content, they made earning rubies better in a update and also made it better for you to earn new characters without spending rubies, the only major turn off about the game is controls but I gotten use to being able to play them well.

  2. I have played a few courses in Mario Kart Tour and some of the new courses like Singapore Speedway and Las Angeles in the game is really vibrant and almost clean. I’m expecting both of them being added in one of the waves.

  3. With the prefix leak and all these datamined courses, I believe this will be the final lineup of classic courses pre-Mario Kart 8, including the ones in the base Deluxe game.

    SNES:
    – Mario Circuit 3
    – Donut Plains 3
    – Vanilla Lake 2 (this was referenced in Coconut Mall)
    – Rainbow Road

    N64:
    – Kalimari Desert
    – Toad’s Turnpike
    – Choco Mountain
    – Royal Raceway
    – Yoshi Valley
    – Rainbow Road

    GBA
    – Mario Circuit
    – Boo Lake/Broken Pier
    – Cheese Land
    – Sky Garden
    – Cheep Cheep Island (Redone in Tour)
    – Sunset Wilds (Redone in Tour)
    – Snow Land
    – Ribbon Road

    GCN:
    – Baby Park
    – Dry Dry Desert
    – Mushroom Bridge (apparently datamined)
    – Daisy Cruiser (in Tour)
    – Waluigi Stadium (datamined)
    – Sherbet Land
    – Yoshi Circuit
    – Dino Dino Jungle (in Tour)

    DS:
    – Cheep Cheep Beach
    – Delfino Square (datamined)
    – Waluigi Pinball
    – Shroom Ridge
    – Tick-Tock Clock
    – Wario Stadium
    – Peach Gardens (datamined)

    Wii:
    – Moo Moo Meadows
    – Mushroom Gorge
    – Coconut Mall
    – DK Summit (datamined)
    – Wario’s Gold Mine
    – Koopa Cape (datamined)
    – Maple Treeway (datamined)
    – Grumble Volcano
    – Rainbow Road (just a hunch given that we’re ending this DLC on a Wii course)

    3DS:
    – Toad Circuit
    – Music Park
    – Rock Rock Mountain (datamined)
    – Piranha Plant Slide
    – Neo Bowser City
    – DK Jungle
    – Rainbow Road (datamined)

    1. GBA Cheep Cheep Island: This is in Tour, but this could also be something else since NIntendo’s been doing new remasters for MK8 BCP.

GBA Sunset Wilds: Has also been datamined for BCP).

GCN Mushroom Bridge: What is datamined for MK Tour is either Mushroom Bridge or Mushroom City – which of these two is not known yet, since the datamine refers to an object used by both courses. Mushroom Bridge has also not been datamined for BCP. Personally, I’d like to see Mushroom City.

GCN Daisy Cruiser and GCN Dino Dino Jungle: Nothing datamined yet for BCP for these, but they are likely candidates. Dino Dino is referenced in Wave 1’s Wii Coconut Mall.

DS Delfino Square: This has not been datamined for BCP (the banner datamine people thought showed Delfino Square was really Amsterdam Drift). imo, Airship Fortress has a bigger chance of coming and already has a good remake in Tour.

Otherwise, I completely agree with your list, and seems to well represent what courses we’ll get based on the datamines we’ve had for BCP.
