It has been announced that the upcoming Kickstarter backed JRPG, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, will be fully voice acted, even in battles and when players visit the games many towns. There will be a lot of voice acting in the game with 60,000 lines needing to be recorded and the game features 100 heroes which will each have voice acting. Even when players are participating in the game’s turn-based battles, the characters will have 80 different lines per battle, so it will be a big task, but one the developers don’t seemed to be particularly phased by. Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2023.

  1. It’s one thing to say that the game will be voice acted with all of these lines, it’s an immense undertaking and that’s impressive but at the same time, they better be voice acted well and have some level of quality control to it. Because it makes no sense having all of this and then it just ends up sounding a mess because people just wanted to get the lines out. interesting concept I just hope it’s executed well.

  2. Eiyuden Chronicle Rising was a complete hit out of nowhere for me this year. Could not put the game down. Now i’m super hyped for hundred heroes, bring it on!
