Japan: Bayonetta 3 enters at No.2 selling 41,285 retail copies, PS5 is No.1 hardware

The latest Japanese boxed video game software and hardware charts have come through for the week of 24th October, 2022 to 30th October, 2022. The long-awaited Bayonetta 3 for the Nintendo Switch entered this weeks charts at No.2, shifting 41,283 physical copies. In a shake up this week, Sony’s PlayStation 5 console was the best-selling platform as more stock arrived at retailers selling an extra 38,866 units. The Nintendo Switch family of systems were the 2nd best-hardware this week selling an additional 38,634 units sold. Here’s this week charts:

  1. Technically, the Switch is still in first place if you count the original Switch and Switch Lite with the OLED. But still quite an achievement for the PS5. That means the PS5 stocks are stabilizing, which is a good sign.
