Pokemon Violet has leaked early due to retail, beware of spoilers

pokemon double pack for switch

A Twitter user has managed to obtain a retail version of Pokemon Violet early and has been detailing their play through on Twitter. This will undoubtedly be a blow to the The Pokemon Company as Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet aren’t due to be released until the 18th November. The retail copy Pokemon Violet is thought to have originated from a South American country and the language has been set to Spanish. The player started the game with a female trainer and chose Fuecoco as their starter Pokemon and has also showed the Pokemon’s Evolution. I won’t post screenshots here as there are already quite a few, but they are readily available on @Presidentlilna1’s throwaway Twitter account. The person has also shown off the Paldea Region’s world map. Sadly it will be hard for those of you who want to avoid Pokemon Scarlet & Violet spoilers as retail copies are clearly out there in the wild now. Pokemon Scarlet & Violet launch on Switch Friday, 18th November.

  1. Not surprised, ppl get games early from Amazon if it gets sent early or from Ma and Pa shops that sell games before release for extra money.

Not sure how this will be a blow to the Pokemon company, if they paid for the game it’s not against the TOS playing before the official release.

  2. People need to stop leaking these games. Not only does it spoil the storyline of the game, but it makes people not even want to play it anymore.

    1. I know right? this happens with Sonic Frontiers right now and Tomoya Ohtani is upset by the leaks by streamers. They basically want to leak surprises for other people just to get followers, views and money much faster in every hour of stream time. I guess the patients is too much for them to handle.

    1. to be fair, I got my copy of FF7R on PS4 about 3 and a half weeks early due to a retailer shipping it early. A lot of people did in the UK/AUS actually. I didn’t post screenshots or footage of the game because who cares/not trying to get social media clout, but I’m certainly going to play the game and not wait around for everyone else to have it, not my problem. Most I did was share a pic of the game with some jealous friends on DC and got told to shut my mouth until we had all beaten it before discussing (naturally).

This always happens with boxed retail games in the UK if you order from certain sites. It is usually only 1-2 days early rather than the extreme example I experienced with FF7R though.

I do agree with your sentiments of people sharing stuff online before others get the chance though, just keep it to yourself/close friend circle.

      1. That’s what I been saying. If they got stuff early before the official release, they need to keep stuff to themselves and keep their mouth shut for revealing the game’s soundtrack and the story content. We all waited patiently. Why can they do the same. obviously, showing unrelease leak content early online just to get them to get subs, money and views on YouTube and Twitch within hours in one day which is really greedy for them. It seems like they want to get their accounts terminated or suspended for DMCA by Nintendo, Pokémon Company or other gaming companies. Some gamers and streamers want to take that risk.
