Today, The Pokémon Company group announced a new Pokémon animated series featuring a fresh storyline and characters, following dual protagonists named Liko and Roy in the Japanese version of the series. The action-packed series will also feature Paldea first partner Pokémon Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly from the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games. This next entry in the hit Pokémon animated series will premiere worldwide starting in 2023 after Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series.
To conclude Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series, fans can enjoy a collection of special episodes commemorating Ash’s 25-season journey to become Pokémon World Champion. The episodes feature fan-favorite characters and provide a glimpse into what the future holds for the world’s strongest Trainer and his Pikachu.

I like how they have the starters from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Sprigattio, Fuecoco and Quaxly
Quote me on this, the new series is going to have either on of these 2 at the Pokemon league battling and losing to Ash in the finals.
A nice turnaround, if ya right. Finally Ash can be the one to crush someone else’s dreams! lol
Wow, all that time and ash never became a Pokemon master, but at least he made something of himself. Sometimes our dreams can change and evolve though our lives, and we become something much different, but still worth while in the end, never stop dreaming or believing 😁💖
But he did, he is the world Champion now.
Nice. I’m looking forward on watching it but not finished with the recent anime series yet. 🤣
Better late than never, Ash will be missed but his “retirement” was long overdue.
Well not yet and he is still 10 years old. Ash rival Gary retired as a Pokemon trainer and become Oaks assistant.
I was referring to Ash’s role as primary lead protagonist of the anime series actually.
Oh. Well, soon he won’t be anymore.
I’m pleasantly shocked by this. I only got tired of Ash because he kept losing at the Pokemon Leagues. (Orange Islands League DOESN’T count. Gotta get that out the way for the “but Orange!” peeps. (I know you’re out there… lol) First Vince McMahon retires (I thought for sure he’d bloody die in the gorilla position micromanaging WWE) & now Ash Ketchum is getting retired. Now if only the main Pokemon games coulda been shockingly good games out the gate, too. cough Good luck to the new protags! Ya gonna need it since it’ll be 20+ years before you accomplish your dreams.
Based on Ash’s past female companions (May, Dawn, Serena, Chloe, etc.) and most girl anime like K-on and Precure, this new series is going to go exactly as you’d expect.
And since it’s a new protagonist, it will justify tons of filler episodes focusing on older Pokemon we’ve seen not just once but a million times. Every Pokemon will be new to this trainer.
Ash’s retirement came 12 years too late tbh. I still can’t bring myself to really care about the anime.
((Please Read))
I decided to mention to you people that my dad is gonna die soon because of his organs wanting to shut down on him, my dad is the one who gave me my very first ever game which was pokemon,
I want their to at least be a pokemon movie for ash since this will be the ending for him and his journey, it would make sense after all and we always have a movie when a next generation is coming up and is traditional, so please, please let this happen at least, and please contact the creators of pokemon somehow. Please.
Look dude, I’m sorry about your dad, I’m really am honestly, but this is basically not related to Nintendo news.
The series has been dead for a long time now. This is nu-Pokemon aka zombie-Pokemon. I knew it was the beginning of the end when the original artist for the manga & anime retired and the design of the characters changed.
BTW Ash’s real name is Satoshi. Dubfags who grew up watching shitty dubs got a raw deal in terms of experiencing the anime. Subs > Dubs.
I just realized something. With Ash’s retirement, Pikachu goes with him. Pikachu has been Pokémon’s mascot since the beginning, so will the new characters get a Pikachu for their journey? Or do they have a different Pokémon in mind? I mean, this won’t change Pikachu’s status as the mascot but it is gonna feel a lil weird not having it in their flagship anime anymore if they go with the latter.
I really liked Journeys , and Sun and Moon , so I’ll miss Ash , but this new series looks interesting
