Switch version of Marvel’s Midnight Suns cancelled

Believe it or not, Marvel’s Midnight Suns is releasing in just 9 days. However, there has still been very little information about what is happening with the Nintendo Switch version of the game. In fact, late last year, there were retail database listings that didn’t even mention the Switch version, even though the devs did say in the past that it was going to be releasing on Nintendo’s hybrid console sometime after the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions launched.

Well, an official blog post from 2K and Firaxis Games has told us why. The devs said in the blog post that “we’re excited to announce that digital versions of Marvel’s Midnight Suns on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are scheduled to launch on Thursday, May 11. Note that a Nintendo Switch version of Marvel’s Midnight Suns is no longer planned”. So, unfortunately, it has been announced that the Nintendo Switch version of the game has been officially cancelled.

  1. Switch and its weak hardware strikes again. I expect this to snowball from here on out. It’s not like it ever got many new 3rd party games. There are a few, but it’s largely old ports. And very often they’re not complete physical copies on cartridge.
