A new Human Resources survey has revealed that LinkedIn, Nintendo and SKY are the top three companies to work for according to the 16-24-year-olds who were surveyed. Corporate Social Responsibility and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion were the key drivers for the end results. The survey which was conducted by brand and social impact agency, We Are Futures, revealed that 93% of those questioned wanted an employer to provide opportunities to drive positive environmental or social change. 82% of those who answered the survey said that they personally believed it was important for companies to have inclusivity policies for the LGBTQ+ community. 90% of those who took part also revealed that they wanted face-to-face time with colleagues and 96% said brands should offer training programmes in workplace and life skills.
“We know young people consider a company’s social impact when thinking about working for them. But we were surprised that nearly all the young people we surveyed thought it was important for an employer to create opportunities for them to make a difference. HR policies and the way businesses look after their staff aren’t just an internal issues anymore. They’re discussed online and influence how people see a brand overall. HR and marketing should work together because both are impacting the other’s work. If you can state that your business has genuine social impact, you are more attractive to good and diverse talent.”
Mark Fawcett, CEO of We Are Futures

That’s nice and all, but I don’t understand what the LGBTQ+ community has to do with Humans.
Did you really think this comment would gain you cool-points? lol
Ah yes, the common incel has reared their greasy head to make a statement that they know is trash.
Michael makes a valid point. Living that kind of lifestyle is a sin from a Christian perspective and it makes no sense from a scientific/biological perspective. Does no good for the human race. In the past, these people were kept in mental institutions and given medication to curb those sick and perverted thoughts. For too long, society has been too apathetic and scared to speak out against this debauchery. We now live in a world where right is wrong, good is bad, criminals are victims, and victims are criminals. Wake up sheeple.
If you see the phrase, “diversity equity and inclusion” or “environmental and social governance” in any business vernacular, run as far away as you can. These companies will be bankrupt in just a matter of time. Get woke, go broke.
Yeah.. look at literally any real data and it will tell you the opposite.
If you want to appeal to a wider audience then you need to understand how that audience thinks and lives. The best way to do that is by hiring members of the people you want to sell to.
So yeah, you can hire a bunch of white dudes and make a product that only appeals to white dudes… or you can get “woke” introducing some diversity to your company and grow your market to a wider audience. I mean it’s not rocket science. You don’t hire a dentist to do your taxes, and you don’t hire a single type of person to sell to a bunch of different kinds of people.
Like it or not, diverse people exist. That’s just a fact. They exist and aren’t going anywhere. You can make better products and appeal to them and grow your business, or you can avoid being “woke” and go broke, or at least miss out on ever expanding and profiting in any truly meaningful way.
If you can’t be convinced of this, you’re just small minded and there’s no helping you.
Let me explain. Hiring someone only because they’re a different color, or only because they’re female, or only because they’re gay is not only ridiculous, it’s racist, sexist, etc. A smart company hires someone based on their qualifications, experience, and merits regardless of their race, religion, sexual orientation or gender. Like MLK said, judge not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.
Let me explain. If you reread my post, I never used the word “only.” There is a middle ground to be found. Your method by itself incentives racism. A white male boss is more likely to higher a white male worker. White male bosses are the most common and white male employees are more common because of this, and that is likely to never change unless companies are incentivized to broaden their horizons. They should ABSOLUTELY higher the person who is most fitting for the job and only an idiot would argue otherwise. But if two candidates are of equal merit, the company will benefit MORE from hiring the individual that will help them diversify. That’s not being “woke,” it’s being smart.
Choosing someone over the other when they’re equally qualified just because they’re “different” is exactly racist or sexist or whatever. You just proved my point. Why do you think the Asian community has filed a lawsuit against the ivy league schools? They keep letting in unqualified students over them. You claiming white male bosses are more likely to hire white people is an assumption and that’s where you folks get your panties in a bunch. Assuming the worst just because a person is white. That’s also racist. Anti-whiteism is alive and well.
Choosing someone over the other when they’re equally qualified because they’re the same race/gender as you and you “relate” to them more is what’s actually racist.
My argument is not an assumption – If you do even a little bit of research you’ll find tons of data that points to that being clearly evident a majority of the time. Not just for white males, but across the board for people of all walks of life. But since white males hold more positions of power than any other type of person, who do you think are given the most opportunities to be hired or promoted at a company? If we lived in a society where Asian women were the most common bosses, then the most commonly hired and promoted people would likely also be more Asian women, and that wouldn’t be good for business or fair to other applicants either.
But I also looked back and read your first comment on this article and realized that arguing with you is completely pointless and you’ll never get it, so I won’t be checking back further. Scream into the void all you want.
So it’s safe to assume you don’t believe in God. I pray for you. Look, what I’m trying to say is too many companies are hiring unqualified people just to fill an ESG or DEI quota so they can get their funding from Larry Fink and Blackrock, and these companies are failing. They have a fiduciary responsibility to their shareholders. Do some research yourself. If you owned an NBA or NFL team, would you hire a short, scrawney guy just because he had different color skin? Of course not. You hire the best athlete out there. In the NBA and NFL, a majority of the players happen to be black, and I have no problem with that. They are the best at what they do. I’m curious if in ten or twenty years when whites are a minority in society, if you’ll be saying companies should hire more whites? If they’re not qualified, they shouldn’t. Here’s a sobering statement I’ll leave you with. Facts don’t care about your feelings.
Based
Making your company accomodating to obnoxious activists like this is the worst thing you can do.
It’s not 1960 you know. Sorry but white people in business arent racist when it comes to making money. They will hire the most qualified for the job or lose money. They also bend over backwards to hire a non white who fits these qualifications over a white with the same. But there arent as many. Asian culture puts value on hard work and education. I’d hire an Asian over anyone else if I wanted to make money.
Your Data points are bunk.
I not bothered by your race, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, or etc. The important thing is that you’re actually pulling your weight and selling me some video games I want to spend money on. Also, Inflation sucks ass because I have to choose between eshop cards and food to eat.
