New Super Smash Bros. amiibo restocks remove mentions of compatible hardware, probably for future proofing

Famiboard forum member Ajimi works at for a retailer in France and which has recently received some restocks of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo figures and upon examining them noticed that the design and blurb on the back of the amiibo boxes have undergone a transformation. One of the major things which has changed is that the new packaging no longer mentions compatible Nintendo hardware such as the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS as they used to. Nintendo is probably just future-proofing their stock as a successor to the Nintendo Switch is thought to be arriving in 2024.

  1. I remember when Nintendo did this before the switch release, it’s too bad that amiibo are just really over glorified toys now, they use to be alot more effective during the 3ds and wii u times.
