Netflix Drop01 animation event features news & trailers for Castlevania:Nocturne, Sonic Prime, Scott Pilgrim, and more

Netflix has announced a special upcoming live stream called The Drop 01 which is a virtual showcase for animation on Netflix and there’s going to be plenty packed into the 90 minute event. There will be a wide choice of animated projects showcased including Castlevania Nocturne, Sonic Prime, Scott Pilgrim, and much more. Fans will get an early screening of the first three episodes of Castlevania Nocturne before they arrive on the service. Netflix’s Drop 01 kicks off on Wednesday, 27th September at 9am PT / 5pm UK time.

What is DROP 01?

On Sept. 27, 2023, Netflix invites fans worldwide to tune into the first ever DROP 01 — a virtual showcase celebrating the best of Netflix’s genre animation series. During the 90-minute event, fans will get an early screening of the first three episodes of Castlevania: Nocturne before the series officially drops on Netflix Sept. 28. The showcase will also feature surprise announcements and never-before-seen, sneak peek “drops” from other animated series that fans are most excited about.

The global livestream event will be broadcast on Twitch, YouTube, and Tudum.com.

    My guess is that we are getting news on the Onimusha anime show, new season of Dragon’s Dogma, something Monster Hunter-related (there was a 2021 film released on Netflix), or another new CG Resident Evil show (following Infinite Darkness).
    Personally I would prefer news on the Devil May Cry show but I’m not holding my breath for that.
