The tech-focused team at Digital Foundry’s latest project is the long-awaited Nintendo Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy. Hogwarts Legacy is one of the games which people initially found hard to believe was coming to the Switch and the developers have done a fairly admirable job in recreating the original experience. That said, there are a range of compromises in getting the game running on Nintendo’s current platform, including additional loading screens and dips in both the framerate and resolution. Talking of resolution and framerate, Hogwarts Legacy played in docked mode tends to be 720p, though it can drop down to 540p, and when played in handheld mode, the game favors 576p, though it can dip to 360p when things get heavy. The framerate targets 30fps on the Switch, but certain situations can drop it to 20fps at times. All in all, it was clearly a difficult task bringing the game to the Nintendo Switch, but the team has done its best.
Digital Foundry examines Hogwarts Legacy on Nintendo Switch

Hogwarts Legacy look’s decent on the Switch, but i’d probably play it on another platform if possible.
I’m not really one for Harry Potter games, but the more and more I read up on this game and watch YouTube videos I’m really keen to buy it.
My choice of platform is always switch, but I do have a ps5 so maybe il get for this.
But having said that I wonder if I purchased the switch version, the game might get an update for the successor? Or maybe the game will be available again for the next switch /console?
If you prefer a seamless open world experience, get it on PS5. If you don’t mind areas being segmented off from each other, get it on Switch… if it’s cheaper, that is. Graphics wise, the Switch version doesn’t look terrible so that’s a moot point if you ask me. It kind of gives it more of a GCN Chamber of Secrets charm, honestly.
I support trans rights so I won’t put money in the pockets of she who must not be named or any of her associates as much as I can help it.
So far the sucessor specs are just rumours, buying based on that would be pretty stupid if you ask me. If you don’t like how the current version looks on the Switch i say get on the PS5.
You do realize that the game is on every platform therefore making every platform non-supporters of the infinite ABC soup community meaning you own one of these platforms making you a non-supporter of said group by extension?
All I can say is I hope Ninty is about to replace the Switch with a stronger console within the next 1-2 years because… yikes. (I’m glad I didn’t wait to get this on Nintendo Switch instead like I originally planned to because I had played Chamber of Secrets on the Nintendo Gamecube back in the day as that was the game that made me want what Hogwarts Legacy is.)
In summation? It’s awful! Couple that with the ¢®@PP¥ “physical” release and it being far cheaper on other platforms at this stage and you’ve got yourself a bonafide +ü®d.
but the more and more I read up on this game and watch YouTube videos I’m really keen to buy it.

Will uy it. This is just like No Man’s Sky. Low graphics but still playable.
