Digital Foundry’s Oliver Mackenzie says Arkham Knight performance on Switch is “unacceptable”

The long-awaited Batman: Arkham Trilogy has been released on the Nintendo Switch, and if you have been lurking on social media, you will have noticed that the end results are not pretty. Arkham Knight, which didn’t run brilliantly on consoles at the time of release, just doesn’t seem to have been adequately optimized for the Nintendo Switch. Oliver Mackenzie, who is one of the team at Digital Foundry, has called the third game running on the Switch totally unacceptable. You can see a sequence that experiences huge frame rate drops and even freezing at one point. Digital Foundry is currently working on examining the collection, and their results should be online soon.

      1. I feel really bad for the people who can’t afford to own more than one console, have to deal with terrible ports like this, and are so insecure about it that they talk down to others online.

        1. Sorry if my comment came off a little snobby. My intention was never to put down anyone who was poor or anything or show off how much richer I was than anyone else because I’m not rich myself. I genuinely feel bad for anyone who has to put up with these shoddy ports clearly only made as a cash grab because of how large the Switch user base is.

          1. No, no, you’re fine. It was the other guy who replied to you first that was a jerk. Your comment on the article was perfectly fine. I repeated your comment to him with a spin to it because he was being rude to you. You’re fine!

      1. For a $200 handheld (Switch Lite), it sure still holds up fairly well. Also you just replied to the biggest troll on this site. Just ignore him.
