Capcom says more Resident Evil remakes are incoming

It seems as though Capcom isn’t done with remaking the classic Resident Evil video games as the company told IGN at the PlayStation partner awards event in Japan that there’s more work left to do. Resident Evil 4 remake director, Yasuhiro Anpo, told the site that they are pleased with the three remakes so far and that they want to continue doing more. The Resident Evil remakes are currently available on the Nintendo Switch, though it should be pointed out that they are the cloud versions, so they are streamed online to your Nintendo Switch console. Here’s what was said by Mr. Anpo:

“Yes,” Anpo replied when asked if Capcom wants to keep making Resident Evil remakes. “We’ve released three remakes so far and they have all been received very well. Since it allows a modern audience to play these games, it is something I am happy to do as someone that loves these older games, and we want to continue doing more.

  1. How about a Resident Evil Tactics game, one that is grim and requires hard choices like choosing to save someone or retrieve supplies but with large hordes of zombies that instead of moving on a turn, are always moving, and player actions are timed with some actions needing more cooldown then others. It has to be frustrating yet rewarding and an atmosphere resembling a zombie outbreak (or apocalypse).

  2. How about the classic games instead of those remastered trash fires. Hell, I bet so many people would love to play the ORIGINAL games in a better look that the crap we got ” for modern gamers. “

    1. Absolute true! If is possible buy Playstation pal trilogy or ps2 veronica x re4 i no problem Pay 60 for physical version. Remakes is trash quality! Re2 remake ruin indestructible mrx, in original re2 i kill mrx everytime for weapon upgrades. Re3 remake is short and absolute trash. :(

  3. Tbh I would prefer RE Origins collection remake as a single game where you can choose to either play between all four characters and their campaign.
The second RE game that should have gotten a remake are both Outbreak games, doesn’t make any sense that Capcom is constantly throwing out RE multiplayer flops when they already have a perfectly working formula that everyone now want in the Outbreak series.

  4. Typical Capcom. They would rather make more resident evil remakes than Mega Man Battle Network 7, or any new Mega Man game for that matter. “But resident evil games sell!” Of course they do, because they keep making them.
