Nintendo of America has had many different faces over the years. Some of them are still there, while others have since retired or moved on to other jobs. That all said, Nintendo of America has hired a new face to be a part of their team recently, and this week was the beginning of their new job at the company.
Gio Corsi confirmed on Twitter that he is now working for Nintendo of America’s AAA third-party portfolio management team. Corsi was previously head of commercial at Iron Galaxy Studios, chief product officer of IllFonic, and head of global second party games at Sony Interactive Entertainment. This is amazing. I really was wondering what he was up to since he left PS back in like ’19. I stopped following after that but I’m glad he’s been doing fine. He’s the reason why Yakuza became a huge hit here in the west, and why the Vita even got some support from Sony, back when Sony completely abandoned it. Gio kept pumping indies and a ton of Japanese ports in it to at least not let it die worse than it did. I’m glad he’s part of Nintendo now.
