Midori: Nintendo using Switch 2 & New Switch names in conversations with SEGA

Reliable SEGA Atlus leaker Midori has revealed this morning that she has heard that in internal conversations between Nintendo and SEGA, the Kyoto-based company has been referring to the successor to the Nintendo Switch as the Switch 2 and New Switch. However, she points out that she doesn’t believe that this is the final name of the next generation system. We won’t know for certain until Nintendo actually reveals the system, which is thought to be coming early next year.

    1. The most nothingburger leak ever, “it’s called the switch 2 but it’s actually not called the switch 2” thanks Midori

      1. Indeed. Can Sega not be an attention hog for five minutes? I thought this was my Nintendo news, not my Sega news

      2. Who says it’s a leak? To me it looks like she was just sharing her thoughts. Not everything she posts has to be a groundbreaking leak.

  1. Pyoro is the only Nintendo “leaker” with an almost perfect track record. Other than Pyoro treat any other Nintendo rumors with truckload of salt.

    1. Honestly Midori’s track record so far has been spotless, and even far more detailed than most leakers usually go. But their info is clearly limited to Sega stuff. Midori’s even gone so far as to correct other leaker’s incorrect info.

      1. She was told twice to stop sharing undercooked information and she got into trouble with a certain fanbase once again.
She can get right stuff, but can’t even report leaks at the right time.

  2. It’s makes sense that Nintendo is taking advices on the new switch from Sega, their fanbases are now joined at the hip.
