Vea Games has announced a colourful new 2D platformer titled Nikoderiko: The Magical World which looks to be a mix between Crash Bandicoot, Donkey Kong Country and the Super Mario franchise. The company has also scored a big name for the soundtrack as the music is composed by the legendary David Wise, who created the music for plenty of high profile Rare games. Here’s the details along with a trailer:
- Cooperative Modes – Enjoy single-screen couch cooperative play, bringing friends and family together for a shared gaming experience.
- Music – Legendary David Wise (known for his iconic compositions in classic platformers) arranged ALL the music for the game!
- Family Gaming – Nikoderiko: The Magical World is for all ages, and offers a magical, mysterious, and festive experience.
- Mounts – Collect and summon playable animal friends with unique abilities, serving as both helpful rides for Niko and Luna and valuable allies in battle.
- Worlds – Explore unique worlds with lovable characters, friendly areas, epic bosses and various gameplay themes such as minecarts, chase levels and underwater adventures. Each world features iconic landmarks and unique boss-themed areas.

So it’s a blend of Donkey Kong Country, Crash Bandicoot and Rayman… well its interesting I’ll give them that
Why are all these trailers nowadays so good, that music is bangin!
I was gonna say the opposite… lol. I was excited to hear David Wise’s ethereal beats and then I heard… that. To each their own though.
That god-awful pop song isn’t by Wise, its from 2019 and made by three guys unrelated to Wise.
I doubt he had any say on the song being used for this trailer.
I didn’t think it was done by Wise. What was saying was I got very disappointed when I didn’t hear Wise and instead heard some crappy pop song.
Here is the second trailer, with Dave’s music: https://youtu.be/1TUHB3LA1z0
I am so tired of modern pop music. This isn’t Trolls, Sing, or Minions!
This is mynintendonews. It IS Trolls!
