Capcom reveals fan vote results for top favorite game IPs

It may be a busy news month for game announcements, but that isn’t stopping Capcom from revealing the results of a fan survey they had been doing for a few months now. One of the more interesting parts of the survey, however, is that they asked their fans what their favorite Capcom video gaming franchises are.

The results are separated into 2 categories. One is for Japan, and the other is for the rest of the world. You might be surprised 2 hear that Mega Man not only made it to the top 3 in both categories, but they managed to be the runner up in both. The #1 in Japan is Monster Hunter, and the #1 for the rest of the world is Resident Evil. You can see the full list, as well as a tweet relaying the results, down below.

Rest of the World

  • Resident Evil
  • Mega Man
  • Devil May Cry

Japan

  • Monster Hunter
  • Mega Man
  • Ace Attorney

    1. Unless Japan somehow broke from the earth, became a space island, and is now no longer considered part of our World, I believe it’s safe to assume that Japan’s votes are included in the World votes.

If I’m wrong & Japan’s votes AREN’T included in the World’s votes, the World list is what I call bullshit.

      1. Thank you! I would like to thank my manager, and my supervisor, and my teachers, whom without their guidance, I wouldn’t be half the man I am today! I can’t forget about my parents and my homeslice Jesus Christ! Thank you All! I love you 🥹

    1. They’ve used poll results to make decisions before. Not like we’d see the results of that for years though.

  1. Really bugs me that Darkstalkers is nowhere to be seen.

Atleast Breath of Fire & Dino Crisis are among the top tens.

    1. What’s that, Capcom? We should create fan-continuations of this long-neglected franchise, complete with new characters, playable former-NPCs, and what-if variants)? Okay.

  2. And this is why a new Monster Hunter will always be on a Nintendo consoles wether it’s portable or mainline. Japan loves both Nintendo and monhun.
