4 people approved to join Nintendo’s board of directors

You may recall that, last month, Nintendo had nominated 4 people to join the company’s board of directors following a busy financial results meeting. They are Yusuke Beppu, Miyoko Demay, Eiko Osawa and Keiko Akashi. However, to actually join the board of directors for the company that made the Switch, the nominees had to be approved. This had to be done at the shareholders meeting that took place the other day and had been a source of a bit of news.

Well, the nominees have been officially approved. Yusuke Beppu, Miyoko Demay, Eiko Osawa and Keiko Akashi are now a part of Nintendo’s board of directors. Out of the 4 that have joined, 3 of them are women. This now brings the total amount of women on Nintendo’s board of directors to 4. Prior to 2020, there was none.

What a surprise… to nobody. Nintendo have gone woke.

    1. Hiring women isn’t woke. Japan’s nationwide mandate for >30% of board directors on major companies is DEI-based hiring which is woke. Should just choose whoever is best for the job regardless of whether they’re men or women.

    2. From the moment the word WOKE got invented, people are using it in the most stupid ways (you included).

    3. I really hope you don’t have daughters. Imagine them having to make their way through life with people like you in their way.

    4. Ladies and gentlemen here we have the new Obinna.

Seriously, you are making the same mistakes as him: The nintendo hatred and nonsensical comments and the sexism. At this point is safe to assume that you’re homophobic, right?

    5. It is not woke to hire a women, but when it happens just for DEI reason, which I doubt for now. There are talented women, who made good stuff like the Bayonetta design for example. Whether or not Nintendo is going woke with this, will show in the future.

  2. Pleased to announce you guys I have officially joined Nintendo’s board of directors 🫶🏻

From now on, we will only be making Pikmin & Kirby games :)
