Data analyst Mat Piscatella from sales tracking group Circana in the United States has revealed that the Nintendo Switch family of systems are only 1.1 million sales units behind Sony’s monumental PlayStation 2 console. Mat Piscatella post went on to say that all three current systems on the market are currently doing well and that the console market isn’t doomed like some would have you believe.

It’d be really funny if a Sony executive brings another update to the PS2 sales like they’re Edgeworth bringing the new autopsy report.
Jim Ryan: “Hold up, the PS2 sales numbers were wrong again. See, I forgot about the 5 million PS2 systems I personally bought and shoved up my ass.”
Well, with the new Zelda themed switch lite incoming, some last minute new switch games and Christmas and probably a price cut it could well be a ps2 beater. Good stuff

Sony: we have officially renamed all of our DVD players sold from 2000 to 2013 to PlayStation 2. Meaning that the PS2 has life time sales of a Gazillion units sold.
Who knows how old the referenced days is. It could very well be 1 million past the PS2 by now.
