Square Enix and the official Final Fantasy X account have confirmed this evening that the excellent Final Fantasy I-VI Collection Anniversary Edition, which includes Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster I-VI, will be getting a restock of the physical edition on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Final Fantasy fans can get their hands on the physical collection on 8th October. Here’s what to expect from the Pixel Remaster series:

“The first six FINAL FANTASY games have been updated with beautiful new 2D pixel graphics designed to look great on HD displays, rearranged soundtracks overseen by original composer Nobuo Uematsu and improved gameplay features, including modernised user interface, auto-battle options and more.”

  1. In the USA this was originally a SquareEnix store exclusive for the physical… so I’m glad this is finally getting a proper release and will be at regular retailers as well.

  2. Will be getting a physical restock via the Square Enix Store & VGP! Up for pre-order and releasing October 8th. Exciting time for collectors, especially as the PS4 physical has been being sold for (legitimately) $1,000 – $1,500

Seems like fans will finally be able to own this physically for a good price :)

Although PlayAsia has a physical Asian release that’s identical box-art/spine-wise, minus an ESRB logo in the front, if anybody wants one earlier, haha! <3
