Rayman remake apparently in development, Ancel as consultant with former Prince of Persia team

Insider Gaming is following up from its report yesterday that the Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown team has been disbanded due to the acclaimed game receiving unimpressive sales, according to Ubisoft. Now the site is reporting that the members of the team are now working on a Rayman remake with Michel Ancel in place as a consultant for the project. Ancel was accused of toxic leadership by a French news outlet in 2020. The Rayman remake is codenamed internally at Ubisoft as Project Steambot.

  1. this is a”IT’S SO OVER” ”WE’RE SO BACK” rollercoaster. what in the actual FUCK is happening in that studio recently. WHO CARES I WANT RAYMAN! Rayman Legends on the WiiU is still one of my favorite gaming experiences to this day

  2. If true, then color me interested. I have missed seeing that limbless son of a gun in his own game again for a long time now.

  3. Sounds nice and all, but I hope Michel Ancel has little to no nvolvement because he really hasn’t had any project come to fruition since like 2013. Everything after that has been all Vaporware.
