The Embracer Group CEO, Lars Wingefors, has commented on pre-sales of the soon-to-be-released Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered collection of games. Talking about the classic collection, Wingefors said that the Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered collection is currently “performing on pre-ordering basis much stronger than expectations so far.” You can get your hands on Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered on 10th December.

Whats the point of pre-ordering a digital game?
Pre-order discounts, pre-order exclusive content, weapons, costumes, digital comics…… surely you could use your loaf.
What Danbogard said. Also to do exactly what it did here: help show interest in a game or series, hoping it’ll make the company consider future ones earlier rather than later. They may consider a physical release based on digital preorders. Plus people just want to preorder so they don’t forget later or they can have it come out of their budget now and not worry about it later. Lots of reasons.
I’m hoping for a physical release myself, I’m guessing Limited Run Games will do one.
