Nintendo has been very active with the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack retro libraries recently. Although it varies which retro library gets updated with more games, Nintendo’s schedule with new additions has reached a point where it is now guaranteed to see at least one retro game added a month.
Well, it isn’t surprising, but tonight has proved to be no exception. You see, Nintendo has announced that Donkey Kong Land 2 is now available to play for Nintendo Switch Online members. It can be found in the Game Boy’s retro library. You can see the official announcement social media post from Nintendo of America down below.
It’s up to Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong to rescue Donkey Kong from Kaptain K. Rool!

Blah harasses devs over his character wars, the successor to the console wars because he’s jealous of Rosalina
It’s probably related to it being the 30th anniversary of Donkey Long Country’s release.
That and the opening of the Donkey Country ride at the Super Nintendo World in Japan.
