It is hard to believe that the excellent Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is currently celebrating its seventh anniversary. To help celebrate the occasion the game’s character designer, Saito Masatsugu, has produced a lovely sketch of Nia which you can view down below. The next Xenoblade game coming is an enhanced port of the beloved Xenoblade Chronicles X which is coming to the Nintendo Switch this March.

Fun Fact: Masatsugu Saito started out as a SEGA programmer for Jet Set Radio (Dreamcast) and Yakuza 1 & 2 (PS2) to Freelance Character Artists (mostly for hentai at the time, hence the mismatch info in 2017) and now becoming Xenoblade Series Character designer/ Primer Nintendo employee.

7 years haha….Wait– WHAT? SEVEN YEARS?! I’ve been holding back on playing this because the performances were too tough for me to swallow FOR SEVEN YEARS?! I’m getting old… Hope that Switch 2 is here soon, and that Xenoblade gets a performance boost so I can finally play 2 and 3 xP
I couldn’t get through this game. The weird gotcha-like blades and having to pause just to pick up items was enough to put me off.
So many people are sadly missing out… It’s admittedly a bit of a slow burn game, but given the chance, I think it really is a wonderful game! Happy 7th birthday, XC2! 🥳
omg im so glad some people here are calling this game out on its awfulness, i suffered through half of it before turning it off and never touching it again. i have no idea how some people actually like this game
The worst xenoblade I’ve played (knowing that I’ve done them all including the ps2 episodes of xenogears)
Ridiculous story, non-existent rex charisma, pitiful gacha system for blades and so on and so on… only the dlc saves him in my eyes as well as Nia and Mythra if not the rest…
I wish they would celebrate one of these anniversaries with a picture quality patch 😂
Dynamic 720p that gets down to under 400 vertical lines on handheld is just brutal for a game this gorgeous!
Hoping Switch 2 can remedy that. Been telling myself I’ll play that game when better hardware releases.
