dbrand posts their Switch 2 case on X

Update: dbrand CEO has confirmed that the case in the images is the actual design of the Nintendo Switch 2.

Popular peripheral manufacturer dbrand has braved it all and published their Nintendo Switch 2 protective case on X. It is not clear why the company decided to do it. Whether it is just for promotional purposes or if they are fed up with waiting for an official reveal of the long-awaited system. Either way, if it’s legitimate, which we will assume it is, then Nintendo probably won’t be a happy bunny this evening.

    1. It also confirms that its another hybrid device designed nearly identically to its predecessor and that the leaked images were real.

      1. I think Nintendo already confirmed it was backwards compatible so we already knew it would be similar to the Switch to accommodate that.

        1. Not necessarily, almost all switch games could have been played on a console if Nintendo went that route. Its not like the DS where it has features that lock it to the hybrid design.

          1. In theory, sure. But a lot of games are programmed with the joycons in mind whether it be motion controls or using a single joycon as a controller. I mean… I suppose they could just assume that (if the Switch 2 was a home console only) any Switch game running on it will just boot up in handheld mode but seems like that would not take advantage of the extra power of the console.

            1. Well the Wii and Wii U did something similar with the Wii Remote where you could use them on the Wii U. They could have done that with the Joy-Cons if this ended up being a console.

This is the first time it really cements the idea that this is without a doubt a hybrid design and that the rumors and leaked images were real.

  1. This is very spicy. Up until now I just assumed that extra button on the back was to release the joycons, but why would it need to be accessible like that when playing in the case? Are they extra shoulder buttons instead? 🤔

  2. this basically confirms that the leaked design is real. There is no way all these companies would start mass producing all these accessories if they didn’t have proof of it.

  3. And there you have it, there are still some who will take it for reality when they still haven’t understood that accessory manufacturers are like gamers… i.e. the last ones to know for the console… alalala…

    1. Sofiona…please… why would they start mass manifacturing switch 2 products if they didn’t knew the designs? you gotta let that ”not a switch successor” boat go girl.

  4. Dbrand always brings innovation with their product designs, and their Switch 2 case looks no different! If you enjoy gaming, you might also love playing at Teen Patti Boss for an exciting and rewarding experience

  5. dbrand’s post about the Switch 2 case was beyond my expectations—the dimensions are spot on, the magnetic card holder is fantastic, I pre-ordered it without a second thought! While waiting for delivery, I decided to clear out my shelves of old skins and Joy-Cons. I posted ads and came across a question about shipping. I googled how to contact facebook marketplace , and the support chat suggested the best packaging method. The items were sold out, and the profit was for upgrades—perfect timing for the Switch era!
