    1. My thoughts exactly. Capcom might be too stubborn to make new Mega Man games right now, but seeing this made me glad we never got a needlessly dark reimagining of Mega Man.

    2. Interesting twist on the classic Pac-Man series—turning it into a darker sci-fi action platformer with a new tone and gameplay direction really shows how far the franchise is being reimagined.

  12. This looks like a really cool (and unexpected) direction for Pac-Man. The “Shadow Labyrinth” vibe feels way darker and more atmospheric than what people usually associate with the series, but honestly I’m into it—if the level design and movement feel tight, it could be a great twist on the formula.

  14. Shadow Labyrinth is a bold reimagining of the Pac-Man franchise, blending 2D action-adventure (with Metroidvania elements) and dark sci-fi lore. Initially announced on December 13, 2024, via My Nintendo News, it launched globally on July 18, 2025, across multiple platforms. As a centerpiece of Pac-Man’s 45th anniversary, it abandons traditional maze gameplay to focus on exploration and “predatory” mechanics—while still honoring the franchise’s roots. Its prequel animation, no-DLC promise, and cross-platform support further position it as a unique, complete experience for both Pac-Man fans and action-adventure enthusiasts.
