Super Mario World soundtrack getting vinyl release with pre-orders available

Nintendo fans are in for a treat as the wonderful soundtrack to the classic Super Nintendo game Super Mario World is getting a special vinyl release in Japan. The release is being sold by CDJapan and will cost buyers from the United States $67 if they wish to get their hands on it. It should be noted that this release not only includes the music from Super Mario World, but also from Super Mario Bros.1, Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Bros. 3. Pre-orders for the Super Mario World vinyl soundtrack are available now and the release date is 30th April.

Reissue as vinyl for the first time. The album contains a total of 179 tracks, including original background music and sound effects not only from “Super Mario World” but also from the Super Mario Bros. series from 1 to 3.

  1. I actually have the original 1991 release of this, which was on two compact discs. The first disc contains special arrangements of selected Super Mario tracks. The second disc contained the soundtracks of the mentioned games in the article. Please note that the Super Mario Bros. 2 mentioned here is actually the Japanese version, which is know as Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels everywhere else. It also contains a track from the arcade version of Super Mario Bros. game Vs. Super Mario Bros.

  2. Guys this is the going rate for vinyl collections, this is priced incredibly fairly. Just because you can’t afford it? Doesn’t mean it’s “incredibly expensive”
