Believe it or not, despite Mega Man being a major Capcom franchise, the last new game in the series was released 7 years ago on multiple platforms, including the Nintendo Switch. There have been some collections of Mega Man games, but Mega Man 11 is the last new entry in the franchise. It’s made all the more confusing when you factor in just how well Mega Man 11 has done.
You see, Capcom updated their list of Platinum Titles recently, which also includes sales numbers on the games included. One of them is Mega Man 11, where Capcom confirmed that, as of December 31st, 2024, Mega Man 11 has now sold over 2,000,000 copies. This now makes the game the best-selling Mega Man game in the franchise.

Good… now we need a new X or Zero entry. Those who haven’t played the ZX games will be surprised how deep and dark the story gets.
No we don’t. The original Mega Man X is a poor game and each sequel gets worse and worse. Dreadful series. Mega Man 12 would be much more welcomed. The franchise as a whole will never reach a peak like it did before. The blue bomber has bombed too much.
Bait used to be believable.
Uh huh…sure buddy.
A Zero 5 shouldn’t happen actually. Zero finally got laid to rest at the end of Zero 4. Reviving him yet again would be disappointing. As for X9 though, that’s more needed, as X8 decided to leave us on a cliffhanger and never get it’s part of the story resolved.
Patiently waiting for Mega Man 12
Megaman 9 might be might favorite—only got this because it was in the bargain bin
I just hope the rumors are true and Might No 9 is a launch title for Switch 2.
Legends 3 Confirmed? (I wish)
