Europe: Pikmin 3 Deluxe has been rated for Nintendo Switch 2

The Pan European Game Information has rated Pikmin 3 Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch 2, which suggests that a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition could well be on the horizon. Nintendo has yet to announce a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Pikmin 3 Deluxe. Nintendo recently updated Pikmin 4 with new content, but didn’t provide any Nintendo Switch 2 features such as improved resolution or framerate.

  1. Interesting find. A PEGI rating usually isn’t accidental, so this does suggest Nintendo might be preparing some kind of Switch 2 compatibility or re-release. That said, given how Pikmin 4 didn’t receive any Switch 2–specific enhancements, it wouldn’t be surprising if this ends up being a fairly minimal upgrade or just backward-compatibility labeling. Still, Pikmin 3 Deluxe running at higher resolution or smoother framerate would be very welcome. Curious to see if Nintendo actually announces anything or lets this quietly fly under the radar.
